About Me

Based in Rossendale, Lancashire, I am a professional photographer covering the North West of England. I have been taking photographs as an amateur for a number of years and although I have professional experience in product photography, I am now offering my services for events and shoots.

I am Tom, a 30 something with an ever-evolving passion for photography. My background and qualifications are in IT. I’ve fixed and built more than a few computers over the past decade.

I started photographing items of stock for a local small business, and found I enjoyed it.

Although my primary focus is on stills photography, I am also able to offer light/casual cinematography services too. I also have equipment and expertise for live-streaming, including from remote locations.

Once you’ve got a decent camera and take it to a few family parties, Christenings, weddings, the impetus to take memorable photographs grows.

When my son was born, I decided to properly invest in recording his life. I bought a DSLR and a bit more kit and have been taking photos of him on a regular basis since.

If you are looking to hire someone and I sound like a good fit, the best way to get in touch is via e-mail or by using the contact me page on this website.

I’m still offering product photos services for businesses but am investing more in to events now. I’ve picked up back-up cameras, audio recorders and other supporting gear. My skills as a product photographer are useful, but I am constantly learning as everyone should, and the first few events really opened my eyes to how creative you can be.

I focus on a more natural style with minimal editing. I do correct colours and exposure but try to preserve the original image as much as I can. Read the ‘visual style’ section for more information about this.
